Our alpacas, in accordance with our belief that
all alpacas should be easy to handle, and have
enough trust in us to come when called. Several
are happy to hand feed, even to taking food
from strangers.
They will also herd and pen easily, when that is
our preferred option, and are trained not only to
halter without fuss, but lead readily. We also
work on a programme to ensure they will allow
themselves to be touched without constantly
attempting escape (alpacas do not like to be
touched, and unless properly trained and
handled, will not submit to this readily).
