Less trees, more mess!

IMG_1961We lost branches from the gi-normous willow trees bordering our garden last year, resulting in damage to our washing line. So we decided before winter set in, we would cut the trees down, eventually to be replaced with shrubs to protect the animal hospital behind the garden, and to keep the garden looking nice. The trees were so tall we needed to get an arborist in, who climbed up the trees and cut them down from the top section at a time to avoid damaging not only the new washing line, but the sheds that border 3 sides of the garden. When he left, we were left with a big mess to clean up – although we will salvage some firewood out of this as well.
