AANZ National Alpaca Show

Liz and I attended New Zealands National Alpaca Show over the 18th – 20th September 2015. It was an 8 hour trip to the Show Venue just south of Hamilton. This year we trialled using show covers on a couple of our entries, and were delighted with the result – not only did the alpacas arrive clean, but keeping the covers on inside the venue meant they were also unaffected by condensation, their fleeces remaining dry for show day.
We also had 3 fleeces entered, and were delighted with our fleece scores – and our ribbons, with Frosted Elegance winning her class, Charisma picking up a 2nd, and Envoy a 6th placing in a very strong white class.

On Sunday, the rain started, and it pelted down all night, and for much of our trip home on Monday, and is still bucketing down 2 days later, so we haven’t got photos of Masterclass, Black Jack and Sculptor with their ribbons yet.
